CanTreatCOVID relies on volunteers, community partners and organizations to help share the study.

The study aims to identify effective, affordable and evidence-based medications for COVID to help people feel better faster, reduce hospital stays and emergency department visits, and prevent long COVID.

Listed below are different ways to share CanTreatCOVID with friends, family, community, and networks.

You can refer

• adults who tested positive for COVID with symptoms starting within the last 5 days and
• aged 18-49 years with one or more chronic condition(s) OR
• aged 50+ years

Compensation

• Healthcare providers: $40 for referring potentially eligible participants
• Patients: up to $120 while in the study

Why partner with us?

• We will help you save time. You can refer patients to our study, and we will screen if they are eligible to receive COVID medications, including Paxlovid. This research is a randomized controlled trial; if eligible, your patient will be randomized to either active treatment or usual care.
• This study is the fastest way to answer whether these medications are effective, particularly in a highly vaccinated population.
  
• CanTreatCOVID is helping us launch the new Canadian Primary Care Trials Network, finally creating evidence in the real world of primary care.

For Community Organizations

You can help your community members know about the study. If eligible to participate, participants will receive personalized care and attention from a healthcare team. To get involved, we invite you to:

• Share the study with your community. You can download the posters (PDF or images) and order printed materials to deliver to your location for free. Our team can also do a presentation to your community about the study.
• Refer anyone you know who tested positive for COVID within the last 5 days. They can call 1-888-888-3308, email info@cantreatcovid.org or complete the online pre-screening form.
• Subscribe to the CanTreatCOVID newsletter to stay updated with the study.
